vineyard

OUR GRAN RESERVA CARIGNAN IS SOURCED FROM THE MAULE VALLEY, THE COUNTRY’S OLDEST WINE REGION. THE LAND IS MARKED BY A HISTORY OF ALMOST 5 CENTURIES OF LAND WORKERS INTIMATELY LINKED TO THEIR VINEYARDS. MAULE IS A LAND OF COUNTRYSIDE TRADITIONS, OF SMALL FARMERS, RUSTIC CUSTOMS AND AGE-OLD CULTIVATION TECHNIQUES.

Variety

THE GRAPES ARE DE-STEMMED AND CRUSHED. THEN THEY ARE TRANSFERRED TO MEDIUM-SIZED TANKS WHERE THE FERMENTATION TAKES PLACE AT CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE. AFTER A VERY SHORT ALCOHOLIC FERMENTATION, THE WINE IS RACKED FOR MALOLACTIC FERMENTATION AND LATER FOR THE ADDITION OF SULFITES. ONCE THE PROCESS IS COMPLETE, A PART IS TRANSFERRED TO BARRELS, WHERE IT IS AGED FOR ALMOST ONE YEAR. THE REST REMAINS IN THE TANK.
